Hiding in the trees:

I would like there to be trees at my wedding, please. And a ton of fairy lights and bunting. And I like the idea of a footpath out of what I think are petals – though I’m not sure how feasible that is to achieve. But puting in our own footpath could be awesome to direct people to the ceremony using signs like these below:

Santa Barbara Wedding 1

This is taken from the ‘Style Me Pretty’ blog [] from a wedding in Santa Barbara. It speaks for itself in how beautiful it is, particularly the wooden chandelier, and gives off such a welcoming vibe – you can imagine the sofas saying ‘sit on me…I’m awesome!’ to the guests.

Vintage Simplicity: London

Teacups and bunting – two of my favourite things! As I am afraid of reitterating my love of tea cups too often I will stop now. The website has a lovely gallery of all their products for hire, as well as a styling service, but I am most interested in the colour of the website background – the blue is lovely and I’ve noted it down! Pretty Vintage: Crockery and Accessories

I love teacups and have been collecting them for a couple of years now – not sure if my collection is anywhere near this standard (it’s really not) – but every time I’m in a charity shop and one catches my eye then it’s mine. This collection is so wonderfully collated that it doesn’t matter that they are all higgeldy piggeldy, they work because they are a mix match of colours and patterns. Definitely something I would like to draw into the reception on the big day.

I really like this homely concept of having a chalkboard either stating whats on them menu at the reception and/or giving a list of events of the actual day. There’s something very human about a chalkboard – made by hands not a keyboard – which I think will be one of the key concepts for the day; making it as DIY as possible, not just for financial reasons but because that’s the kind of people are.
